Agroneem

Agroneem (Bioneem)_ Neem Based Instecticide
Method of Application
It is available in different concentration viz. 1500 PPM, 3000 PPM & 10000 PPM. Doses vary depending upon the Agroneem concentration used.
Introduction

Agroneem is modern insecticide based on herbal extract of Neem i.e. Azadirachta indica. Azadirachtin, a very complex tetranotriterpenoid obtained from the seed kernels of A. indica and in low concentrations from tissue culture, has proved to be one of the most promising plant ingredients for integrated pest management at the present time. This remarkable compound, the synthesis of which might be possible but hardly economic, displays an array of effects on insects, acting inter alia, as a phago-and oviposition deterrent, repellent, antifeedant, growth-retardant, molt-inhibitor and sterilant. Furthermore, it disturbs a number of vital physiological processes in insects so that their activity (e.g. the ability to walk, to jump, to fly, to copulate, etc.) is strongly affected. Among these various modes of action, the effect on metamorphosis is the most important from the practical pest control point of view.

Biodart

Biodart_ BT Based Insecticide
Method of Application
Mix 300-500 gram in 500-600 litre of water per hector
Introduction

Biodart contains Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) var. kurstaki, which is effective in controlling insects in their larval stage itself.


Benefits
  1. Bt toxin is active only in alkaline conditions as found in insect guts. It is safe for human beings and higher animals.
  2. Bt controls insects in their larval stage, the stage at which damage to the crop is maximum
  3. More than 150 insects, mostly lepidopterous larvae, are known to be susceptible to Bt var. kurstaki
  4. Bt can be used right up to the harvesting stage unlike other chemical pesticides
  5. Beneficial and non-target insects are not killed by
  6. Safe for humans, crops, animals as well as birds who feed on insects killed by Biodart
  7. Little or no resistance has been reported to date
It is recommended for fiber crops, fruits, vegetables, oil seeds, cereals and pulses commonly susceptible to Helicoverpa, Spodoptera, caterpillars, Borers, Loopers and Plutella attacks.

Tricho Guard

Trichoguard_ Biological Fungicide
Method of Application
Mix 1.5 to 2 kg/ 1 Litre of Trichoguard in water for drenching of one acre area.

Use 8 to 10 ml Trichoguard for 1 kg seeds as seed dressing. Use 5 to 6 ml/ lit of water for Root dipping. Trichoguard can be applied as seed treatment with metalaxyl, Mancozeb, Carbendazim, Copper-oxy chloride or thiram but not mercurials.

Introduction

Meta Guard is a Biopesticide based on selective strain of Metarhizium anisopliae which is naturally occurring entomopathogenic fungus. Once the fungus spores attach to the surface of the insect, it germinates and begins to grow and then it penetrates the exoskeleton of the insect and grows very rapidly inside the insect, causing the insect death.

Heliokill and Spodopterin both are Biopesticide based on selective strains of Nuclear Polyhedrosis Viruses (NPVs) recommended for effective control of Heliothis and Spodoptera species respectively, which commonly affect many commercial crops.
